The International Stirling Engine Conference (ISEC) that began in Great Britain in 1982 has grown and flourished over the years. It is held every even-numbered year. The 18^th ISEC was held in Tainan (Taiwan) in September 2018 and brought together over 80 academic and 25 industrial participants from 20 countries. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 19^th ISEC has been arranged as a Web Edition in September 2021. More than 60 participants were online. The 20^th ISEC in Naples in June 2024 brought together more than 50 participants from over 18 countries.

The 21^st International Stirling Engine Conference will be held on 25-27 August 2026 in Pau, France.

The Conference will put together distinguished professors and researchers from industry and academia from all over the world and aims at discussing the most recent advances on Stirling and other kinds of “hot air engines” technology. Together with the Conference, an exhibition of industrial and model hot air engines will take place. Throughout the 21^th ISEC, poster sessions, coffee breaks and lunches will be held in the exhibition hall. This exhibition will be open to the general public during the last half-day of the conference. 

The 21^st ISEC offers companies the opportunity to increase their visibility in the areas of Stirling technology development, marketing, new product information and partnerships promotion with leading research organizations and universities.

The 21^th ISEC offers a variety of exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities that can be discussed with the Organizing Committee.
